Since this was on Ozbargain a few years ago, Sodastream refill prices keep going up.
Where is the current cheapest place for genuine Sodastream refills in Sydney?

Target $19 for 60L exchange (i.e. bring your old empty) did this on last weekend
of course this is the normal "retail" price…however this is still cheaper than buying a new tank (around $45 from memory)Out of curiosity how long do the tanks last?

http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1769172I haven't really paid attention to how long a 60L tank lasts me, but it's quite a while. More than a few weeks… and that's with daily use. Every day, and gassing like 3-4 bottles of water (which would be 3 to 4 litres as per the sodastream bottles you fill with water).
So it's well worth it. I don't really use the syrups at all though - I just guzzle litres of fizzy water a day. Beats paying 80c or so for a bottle of soda water from the supermarket each time, having to lug them home, then having the endless plastic bottles to recycle :)
As in the cost of exchanging for a full tank? Or buying a spare/new tank?
I exchange my 60L at Woolies for around $18 or 19.
