Multi USB travel charger

hi guys, going home to the motherland (UK) in august and thought about getting a multi usb travel charger adaptor thingymabob so i don't have to take millions of separate chargers with me and then have to hook them up individually to a uk adaptor.

anyone have any experience with these and/or recommendations?

however i know electronic from ebay can be dodgy sometimes so don't wanna buy if it wont work or is dangerous.

will be used to charge stuff like my phone (s4), gaming controllers, ps vita, e-cigarette battery etc.

    I had an eBay one that smoked and melted and nearly destroyed my phone. Some can be fantastic, but it can be so hit and miss that you need to be very vigilant.

    I'm presently using a TwelveSouth plugbug, which comes with global plugs and allows you to piggyback an Apple laptop charger (or a second iPad/iPhone charger minus the duckhead). It'd be nice if it had a second USB port, but otherwise has been very reliable. It also has 2.1 amp output, so is good for tablets. If I recall correctly I spent about $40 during a sale, and I think that Apple sells them online and instore for $50 shipped.

    But can you get enough voltage from the power plug to charge 4 devices at once?

    I just bought one like this for $1. My room mate had 1 too, and combined we charged everything. Even if you've got 2 things to charge, plug in some gear as soon as you check in, go to dinner, then before bed swap the devices over (charge the larger item overnight). I doubt your ecig and remote control would need charging every night… eneloops?

      If you're going for just a plug adapter, you might as well bring an aussie powerboard and all your individual wall warts.

      I haven't tried to charge four devices concurrently, but I occasionally plug in two devices with a y-cable or charge two USB items off my portable battery while charging the battery with the single USB port on my charger.

    I bought it direct from Anker after persuading them to ship to here.
    I believe there are some ebay seller selling it for a bit of premium as well (including one from UK)

      Okay, found AnkerDirect will ship the white but not the black for some reason.

        yeah weird, they didn't ship either colour a few weeks back - i bought mine from Aliexpress, arrived; seems to be legit and genuine. Think i paid $33 for it (had a $5 voucher and was 10% off as well).
