TV without an aerial

Hey Guys,
Might be a silly request but here is the story.

Our tv aerial was damaged in a storm a few years ago,
We have foxtel connected so it wasn't really a problem.
Mentioned it to the landlord but their not keen to fix it.

We have two new housemates now, who don't want pay for Foxtel.
So looking at alternatives for the two of us who want to keep some form of TV in the house.

Tried indoor antennas but they are no good in our area.
We have a good internet connection.

But I saw you still need an aerial for Fetch TV yeah?

Any other options out there?

Thanks

  • Offtopic, but Mention it to your landlord or agent in writing. IIRC it was 3 weeks they must respond, give them a reminder past 2 weeks and strong worded email in the last week. They are usually slack but must ensure the house is in working order.

    • +1

Agree, if it was there when you rented the house and then breaks the landlord must fix it - it is not multiple choice

  • Bit of a grey area… does the LL have to provide a working antenna for your tv reception??

Check your lease agreement or state tenancy laws to see if the LL is obligated.
