Gas and Electricity bundle deal in Sydney

Hi All,

I am looking at good gas and electricity bundles.

With the current AGL price rise, I find Origin marginally better rates and below deal seems good

Electricity features
14% off Origin's electricity usage charges for 12 months when you pay on time
Natural gas features
8% off Origin's natural gas usage charges for 12 months when you pay on time
Direct debit discount
1% discount off Origin's usage charges

any suggestions ?

we live in a unit with only3 adults in 2 bedroom apartment.

    I spoke to origin and haggled the heck out of them.
    this is the deal I got to bundle.
    24mth contract
    Electricity 23% off
    gas 14% off
    1% off if paid on time
    3% off for direct debit
    just tell them someone door knocking offered you 23% elec and 14% gas but you wanted to talk to them first to see if they could offer the same or better.

          Is this a standard offer? I can only see 8% for gas in Origin website.

    My AGL gas contract expires in Sept. and AGL wants to cut my discount on gas from 12% to 7% (on usage only, fixed for 2 year). Anyone know of any good gas only deals in Sydney? (I still have 12 month contract with AGL for electricity.)Thanks for any advices.

      Are you in NSW? Origin Energy seems to offer a lot more discounts to Vic customers.

          @asx100:

          I didn't. I actually switched my electricity from Origin to Red first..with Red giving 12% discount in the total bill (not just the usage)..so after a month I got a call from Origin and gave me option to switch back to them ..with 19% Electricity and 16% Gas offer.they also agreed to bear the exit cost of $180 with Red Energy..:)

    GOT REJECTED BY ORGIN AND AGL …. nothing better than what is currently on their website ….
