Posting this deal in a hurry.

I went to Big W (ACT) this morning and saw a couple of Home Theater Systems 5.1 (HTS) with 3D Bluray Players on clearance:

  I believe it is old stock, yes. These models are discontinued. Nevertheless, the 1 year warranty still applies.

I bought this model Sony BDVE190 for $147 last year in a deal and it works pretty fine. I am happy with it….it also features ARC and I love that feature..

I bought that Sony HTS an year back for around $300.
It cannot connect to wireless network without a Sony proprietary dongle, but has an Ethernet port. Lots of useful apps inbuilt and regular updates as well. Once hooked to internet it converted my TV to a smart TV. 300W of output power and it is perfect for a small/medium room. It accepts ARC signal from the TV and that means I can enjoy the sound of anything that is playing on the TV on the HTS speakers.
