Looks to be about $480-500 elsewhere on a quick check.
Yeah this is a good price currently for Full HD screens of this size…
Good deal.
Has anyone managed to get the Cashback sites to actually work? I've made a handful of purchases via the links waited the 7 days, nothing yet.
works for me but i've only got like $9 there so far.. after $400 worth of purchases
How long did you have to wait to see the credits?
50Hz wouldn't make it the best PC monitor but maybe its good enough.
On the weekend I'm going out to buy one of these 32LB6500 32" 100Mhz to use as a PC monitor $749 is the best price I've seen for it.
Why not add another 150$ and get a 42lb6500? A bit big for a monitor though.
you just answered your own question lol… 32" is as large as I'll go and i'll wait a few years until the 4k 32"'s come down in price.. the Dell 32" 4k is $3000..
Will try my best to get the lowest price on the LG 32lb6500
Where can you get a 42lb6500 for $549?
How does 50Hz make this no good as a PC monitor?
well your always going to be limited to 50FPS… so there's that
I am guessing you meant to say it might not be good for a gaming monitor. Please be a bit more specific.
As a general PC monitor it would be fine.
I thought i saw this TV for 429$ at JB?
Just bought a 42lb6500 model from JB for 900$. 3d PQ is awesome. Similar model but Sonic branded is 599$. I think its worth spending a little more for an LG . (IMO)
I'm looking at going to JBhifi tomorrow and getting the 32lb6500 :) hope i can haggle it betlow $749 that's the cheapest online price at the moment.
I couldn't find it on JB's website but it is at The Good Guys. Anyone tried to price beat @ TGG using their price guarantee?
Just like bing lee they dont do it for online only stores. Officeworks will so long as its an Aussie online store.. but they dont sell this TV
So anyone who has this, are you happy with it? Is this a good price?
This one is a lower end LG's 2014 TV. Pay a little more and get a 100hz. As stated by Vidghost, gaming on a 100hz is much better than the 50hz.
I recommended a 42lb6500 if you have the extra cash. It is similar to the high end model 42lb700 series. The only differences is the design.42LB6500 is around double the price :( ; so for someone who may only have around $400 is it a good deal? I would have thought 50hz isn't that bad for gaming, not as good as 100 of course :)
i bit the bullet and will see how it goes
$350 more is almost double the price
Would make a good bedroom TV
yeah
i would prefer to have dlna support
Just placed an order for one of these.. hope it works well as a PC monitor otherwise i've just blown $399 lol
Finally caved and got one to replace our 6 year old 32 inch 1366x768 bedroom TV with the dodgy speakers and no EPG. $389 delivered is pretty good for the specs.
how did you get it for $389… tried but no luck
First post on the previous linked deal:
"Open the link in a Private Browser (Incognito, Etc) and it'll show up with the $10 email signup."No coupon code, it just automatically deducted $10 at checkout.
opps! missed that
Yeah how did you manage that price! My best offer was $450! Upload receipt for something to bargain with please!
this deal was $399 by default now its back to normal price as sale price has ended
They have it for $399 again tonight between 9pm-10pm. Did anyone buy it last time? Are you happy with it?
Well I got mine yesterday and I am pleased to say I am happy with it; even though it's the same screen size as my 7 year old Samsung 32 inch it looks tiny by comparison due to the thinner bezel.
That's good, I was hoping the smaller footprint will lend itself well to wall mounting.
Yeap, the bezel is so thin now my (IKEA) wall bracket can be seen at the bottom haha.
ok got the tv and set it up as a pc monitor.. so far these are my thoughts
At first it was a pain in the but to get the image to look good! was all bury and crap
Found out had it set to PC mode in input on the TV with the red button
Then found out had to stretch it to fit the edges of the TV in AMD catalyst control panel … once that was all done i turned down the brightness and its all good.. ( downloading the latest beta drivers auto fixes it also )
Video's, games, movies, youtube are great. much better then my 27" dell IPS
Text also looks fine but not as nice to look at as the dell.. i think the resolution just isn't that great when its blown up to 32" it can be fixed if you up the DPI in windows to 125% but then everything is so massive and websites hardly fit on the screen.. text looks awesome at 125% though just as good as the dell… oh well will probably go back to the 27" after a few days of playing around with this and may also use it as a second monitor to complement the Dell
If you're happy with it, there's no issue, but 1920x1080 for greater than 27" I wouldn't go for. Fine for gaming I just prefer the extra real estate for other software. If you don't need it then it wouldn't be an issue.
Well after 5 hours on the TV last night.. I'm going back to my Dell 27" as my main monitor and may give this LG to a family member.. The text just isn't very good and after a while your eyes get tired. guess i wasted $399 :)
Do you think it could be any good as a bedroom screen for console gaming? Or does it look a bit washed out?
ok i got it fixed up a bit more by using windows ClearType text.. so i'm going to give it a few weeks see how i like it.
So did anyone buy it the last time it was offered? What are the other premium TVs available in the 32" category? (I'm thinking there are no UHD ones) Any other similar priced similar models?
