I'm not sure what's so good about these pizzas?
I usually start with the supreme or godfather, because each make a great start for a chicken+meatlover bbq.
usually either would have 3 or 4 ingredients youd want to keep, and then switch out a couple?

I think it's a cheap way to build a pizza from scratch (at this price) but also a marketing tool where you get rewarded for any of your pizza creations that are sold.

Ahh, yep I see now. I just thought it was a new term for their designa pizzas.

So, does anyone want to try my cheesycrust-bbq-all the meats pizza?
        Only $25.90 :)

  • How is it different to trad pickup with more ingredients?

  • I created a couple just for a laugh:

    • #ChineseChopShop
    • #RealMargherita

Too bad you can only put 11 toppings… can imagine all the OzBargainers trying to put everything on their pizza and ordering it for $5.95, LOL.

    • You can't put all the toppings on, and the catch is after 4 toppings it is $2 a piece, so less than 2 changes on supreme = $4 surcharge minimum

      • No, I mean when you build a pizza mogul pizza you can only specify a maximum of 11 toppings. Don't think there is any charge for that.

        • As DH said, there is the surcharge of $2 per ingredient over the original 4 allowed, up to a maximum 11 + cheese.
That's why my pizza above, which I've nicknamed 'butchershop' would cost $25.90 (with the cheesycrust surcharge).

  • Then pay $2.95 for the edge and you get double the toppings and flavor right to the edge. Staff have told me its better than paying for double toppings and I agree.

  • Mine is called soup of the day

Should of called it 'The Soup Nazi'. I mean, after all, it does go in the oven.

$5.95 for a "Create your own pizza" is a bargain. Just look at Coles, Woolies, IGA, Aldi, etc… They have frozen pizzas for the same price if not more dearer. When you go to Dominos you know you are getting fresh hot pizza.

I used to work at Dominos and every topping we put is weigh on a scale, to ensure that the customers are getting the most topping as possible without weighing the pizza down and undercooking the pizza in the oven.

One time I had a customer ordered a supreme pizza then added 12 additional toppings. Had to call the customer and told him we couldn't make it…. It won't cook properly!

  • tried this out today and got a cardboard pizza

So your 2x extra pepperoni was just that, 2 extra pieces?!?

That would have to be one of the most unappetising pizzas I have ever seen.

  • What is the limit? Because I've been making mine with 3 ingredients+cheese.

    • 11 + cheese

Umm… surely you can't throw 11 toppings on a pizza and expect to charge only $5.95 though

        • -1

          No, see comments above.

You asked what the limit was. That is11 ingredients on top of the already included cheese.

To avoid a topping surcharge of $2 per ingredient, then you need to keep it to the 3 + cheese.

          @linton:

I'm glad I could help someone use up their negative votes for the day. :)

  • Voucher didn't work, site said expired.

  • This was a good deal when the swirls were not considered a topping.

Had an awesome pizza but its not that good value anymore.
