Some places seem to have it NEW for less then $499.
So is it a good price for a 2nd hand device thats being sold higher then can be had new for less? To me NO.

    The direct link is:
    EEE PC 1000HA (White) Laptop + 2GB RAM + Office 2007 Pro!!!!
    Price: $499.00

"4month old ASUS EEEPC 1000HA (Pearl White)
Condition: 9.8/10 (No visible scratches - 8 Months International Warranty with original receipt provided)

Reason for selling: Rarely used and graduating, thus won’t be using this netbook."

    "Additional Bonus:

FREE RAM Upgrade to 2GB!! (Worth $70!!)

    Installed for you -

Microsoft Office 2007 Professional (Worth more than $200!! )
    MATLAB 7.1 "

  • Actually checking the price at the cheapest place (as opposed to relying on the price Staticice shows):
    "Shop Price Online Price
    $588.45 $534.95"
Still not much of a saving, some might think the software (if all manuals etc are included) may make it worthwhile buying it used.

  • I would rather go for a brand new MSI Wind U100+ for $30 more. IMHO, the specs are more superior (Atom N280 instead of N270, supports Wireless N, and Bluetooth). I've tested both, and the MSI has a better feel, and of course it's new in box! Then again, it's just my opinion.
