Kindle Paperwhite from Amazon warranty

I'm probably going to buy it from Amazon as it is the cheapest place I could find. Does anyone know how they handle warranty? Is it a hassle? better off buying at retails? What about the Australian Consumer Law? Are they oblige to and will they happily agree to warrant?
