That's a TN panel as well. ..am I missing something?
edit annnd edited. Now I look like a fool (was linked to Dell 28" P2815Q)
yeah sorry stupid mwave had IPS in ths specs but on the dell website it said TN :)
I'm looking to buy a 32" Ultra HD 4K TV HDMI 2.0 to use as a PC monitorBest bang for buck + IPS
That…sounds like an awesome idea. Especially considering the Dell is like 3k.
I wonder how they are with colour accuracy..
next year tcl and a few others releasing 4k with DP 1.3 and HDMI 2.0
next year is still a while away but yeah that will be the time for everyone to upgrade for sure!
your edit proves all.
Indeed, once you experience IPS, it's difficult to look at a TN panel the same ever again.
Just be warned that there's no option to mount it unless you're going to get a custom bracket
That and you have to manually calibrate the settings to make it optimum as it's a TN panel…Everything else in this is great
Source: I own one
how do you find text and stuff? worried with 4k everything will be too tiny
windows does up scaling the DPI
shittilly mind you
took until Windows 8.1 to make it work properly
Technically a duplicate of https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/152927
Which was for the exact same auction…Not sure who reported it as sock puppeting, because it's one of the previous (Yamakasi/Qnix) good/decent sellers (as per my cached comment)..
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:PNo0zfo…I was going to buy one of these yesterday from MSY, but the very basic stand and lack of any extras put me off.. I'm using the philips version with the same panel, and yes, text is too small to read at 100%.. that said, windows 8.1 certainly helps as it offers a 150/200% increment zoom.. I fully expect these 4k TN displays to tumble in price in the next few months once there's a healthy stock supply arrives.. I've taken a punt and will claim it all back on my 28 deg pricing insurance..
hows the colours?… still poor TN norm
I'm coming from a samsung s27a950 120hz 1080p panel, and the difference is staggering.. I've also used a 27" 1440p ips mac panel & a macbook pro retina panel and from memory, this panel is just as good, if better than those.. if viewing front on (which is what you're usually doing when at the computer), i find the colour quite uniform across the whole width and depth.. that said, if you view it from an angle, of course it's going to vary in colour/brightness..
I have a 5d mkIII dslr, and to be able to view images @ 60% of their original size, it's quite simply jawdropping.. as opposed to 30% on my 1080p panel..
Then there's gaming.. I fired up BF4, Skyrim, Sniper Elite 3 and Grid Autosport and you can't even compare.. infact, it's probably overkill as you can clearly see dodgy textures (skyrim most noticeably)… I'm lucky in that most games I can set to high/ultra and still keep everything above 60fps (with the exception of BF4).. When using the gaming mode, it's not laggy and is pretty sweet..
what vid card are you using?
@zeggie: 2x 7970s… I really can't see how you'd get decent performance with a single card.. That said, decent performance to me is >60fps..
I give a pass, if something goes wrong they ask you send back to Korea,.. How much cost for the shipping??
Anything bulky have to get from local I believe.
Good price but TN panel looks like balls vs an IPS
