I'm thinking about getting this modem, I have a Technicolor TG797n v3 that I got from Telstra and it's pretty crap tbh.
Is this the latest D-Link modem? I can't even find it on their Australian website.
Does this router support NBN? I don't have that yet, but apparently it's coming here soon.
I want the modem in a separate room from where the phone line is, there's a phone line and next to that is an ethernet socket that goes through the walls and into the room I want the modem however this room doesn't have a phone line. Is there an adapter or something that'd join the phone line and ethernet into the ethernet socket and another that would then split it again so there's the DSL cord and an ethernet cord? Not sure if something like that is even possible.
I've got a Chromecast and a few other wireless-only devices that I want to stream 1080p to. Can this modem handle that without lag?
Does the firmware allow for VPN or Socks5 (or SSH tunnel) within the settings?
