I live in Newcastle, NSW and am after a good value cubby house for my 2 little boys (10 & 24 months). Something in the $300-500 range would be good but if there's any spectacular bargains under $1000 then I'll certainly have a look. Any advice from those who have actually bought cubby houses and can comment on the quality of what they've received (the 'bang for your buck') would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried buying secondhand from Gumtree or maybe just sturdy cardboard boxes that you can build it into a castle.
This cubby house is very cool for a DIY for under $500.
