  • Local stock or grey import? Description above and kogan website don't state, but one year warranty (not free, either, but mandatory under Australian consumer law) suggests grey import.

    • Kogan drop ships phones from overseas, it is definitely grey import.

It's definitely grey import. I got one during the Ebay 20% off deal 2 weeks ago and received it just last Friday. Mine (black 4G) was meant for the UAE market and included an additional Kogan branded 2A Australian plug wall charger. No biggie as I flashed it straight away with the latest stock UK firmware and all is good.

    • Yep, UK firmware without the stupid limitations imposed on Australian stock as over here well. :)

      • Beware that the official Australian stock is model number SM-G900I but the international version is SM-G900F. I'm not sure if the firmware for these 2 models are cross-compatible so best to do some research first.

      • What limitations are you referring to?

I'm still using my 4G S3 and feel no inclination/reason to change to the S5.

  • Is this the same model# which was officially released here?

DWI is selling grey import for $609 with delivery included. And you can use coupon code to get another $10 off, make it $599.

    • Have you bought from them before? Tempted to get the S5 and Note 3 from them.

My friend have bought from them before, no issue so far. I have bought from their afflicted company, no issues for me as well. I have not return any product for warranty purpose, so that is not to comment.

    • Thank you mikhaelkin, I just saw this comment of yours and bought SGS 4 from DWI (never knew them before). It took only 3 days (including week end) to arrive in Melbourne from Hong Kong. I'm glad that I saw your comment.
I think I have got a better deal than buying from Kogan.
