    Got any underseat subs?

    • I can get them pretty readily can i know what car its for? and are you after any brand or size in particular?

      • Its for an 06 Forester. Want something decent - brand wise. Been there done that with the whole sound system thing so just want something to improve what I've already got. Not keen on losing any boot space!

      • Are you able to get the Focal ibus 2.1? (you might be interested in this as well minas01).

        http://www.focalaustralia.com.au/shop/ibus-2-1-compact-sub/

        • Hey matey i do focal so ill make a phone call and find out how much and how readily available they are.
i was going to suggest. Pioneer or soundstream which are non IBUS i will get a price for them too.

        • @petey bobby: Not overly worried about amplifying my current setup. With the speakers I've installed running off the head unit and sound deadening the doors I'm pretty happy with the results. As such the Pioneer or Soundstream might be a better option. Have seen a Sound Ordinance one with good reviews but can't find them in Australia. Still interested in the Focal though.

        • @petey bobby: Maybe the Focal IBUS 20?

        • @minas01:
There is the Blaupunkt under-seat subwoofer which has good reviews and 150WRMS that be around $280 mark.
          reviews:

Edit: sure ill check the IBUS20

        • Sorry about the late reply

          IBUS2.1 : $590
          IBUS20 : $400
          USb-8A : too expensive
          Pioneer : not readily avail
i think the blaupunked will give you biggest bang for buck might not be as clear as the focals

        • @petey bobby:

          Thanks for that.

You're a little bit cheaper on the 2.0 vs Westside Audio (theirs is $425) but a bit dearer on the 2.1 (theirs $559).

How much do you charge for installation and you have any experience with Volvos?

        • @nakedposition:
No worries i can see if i can beat there price, but which Sub would you be after? I have been installing part time since 2008-2009. What Model and year is the volvo?

        • @petey bobby:

Edging towards the Focus 2.1, although apparently my speakers already got 40 watts, so not sure how much the extra 15 will make a difference?

          I've got a 2007 Volvo C30.

I realise my car isn't a common car so I'm really quite worried about the installation, damage etc. I assume you have insurance to cover those things, but I'd still prefer not to happen in the first place.

        • @nakedposition:
The extra 15watts will make a difference.. how much of a difference to you personally will depends on how loud you listen to it and what speakers are currently installed (might bring the speakers to there limits), but if you wanted to just add a subwoofer you can tune it so that you've eased the pressure off the speakers by reducing the bass sent to them even more. If you like to have a chat regarding installation feel free to give me a call.

Sorry, but I wouldn't call these ridiculous prices, they are a reasonabnle price at best, not a bargain at all though.

I think Ryda direct import some of the brands. Alpine, clarion etc. I had a problem with a Clarion stereo i bought from Ryda and waited about 6 weeks before Ryda offered me store credit. I couldn't take it directly to clarion because it was imported by Ryda.

This is the biggest advantage to local store and local stock… but ive beat these prices now hope this helps :-)

These are pretty terrible prices bro… im sorry but if your starting your business this way…. your not gonna build a good rep, we're not tryna be harsh, i've worked in the car audio industry a long time and this is stuff that kills business.

If your prices arent cheap, don't claim they are or people will ignore your business and you'l get a bad rep.
