Just wondering if anyone knows if theres a particular time of the day (usually weekends) when Woolworths marks down their meat?

Around 10 am at my local Woolworths. They further mark down the marked down items as well.
My Woolies always has 2nds fruits and veggies on sale at 3pm.get a bag, fill it to the top for $3. Get anything you want from the options they put out. Really good when you can pop in a few kgs of Fuji apples and a few avos on top if you can find some. But being 2nds there's no guarantee what will be discounted.
Gee that meat only good for a curry by the time woolies marks it down round here…
At mine it is often the premium stuff that gets the most savage mark downs. I was as surprised as anybody when I came home with spatchcocks the other day. I get a quiet thrill when we are having a BBQ and I see all 3 or 4 types of meat were 50% off.
I work in the meat department at woolies.
At my store we mark down meat every morning between 7-9. The stuff 2 days out gets marked down 20%, the stuff 1 day out gets marked down anywhere from 40-60% depending on what it is. We can't do it anymore then 60% as the rf gun won't let us.
Some other stores might do it differently though, it'll depend on that stores department manager on what they do. Just go up to the counter and ask, they shouldn't have a problem telling you, I tell people all the time.
Do you ever notice any loiterers, circling the department anxiously waiting for the mark down period?
Usually when you get loiterers, at some stage something will get out of control and usually the benefit will end. Usually people get too greedy or in case of one customer at my store , she shoved someone , they shoved back and she fell over and complained. No more cheap produce…
9 am from what i been told find store that are not doing to well are the best. eg new out at my uni.
i think too many people are passing through the stores on the weekends
