Surprise For Wife ?

Hi guys,

need some ideas/advices in this situation. My wife and my ~2 years old daughter went overseas last month to see our families and they are coming back after couple of weeks and I am think to do something special and I need some ideas/advices if its possible as I am not really good on these planing events.

we live in Sydney and was think to go couple of nights in a nice hotel or take small trap around for example got to New Zealand but I remembered its kind of hard on them as their coming flight around 14h in sky, what you reckon?

I am open for any ideas or good places around to go to.

thanks in advance

Seriously though, just make sure the house is clean and organised, maybe some fresh flowers, make a nice home cooked meal and you will be sweet. Book her into a day spa so she can unwind without the child and take your kid to a playland and spend some quality time together. Highly doubt she wants to go on another trip somewhere. Once she is blown away by how much of a new age sensitive guy you are, put the daughter to sleep and proceed with the following steps:

    1. Cut a hole in a box
    2. Put your junk in that box
    3. Make her open the box
And thats the way you do it!

    Enjoy

It should be the first thing to do lol. Plus hide unneeded goods bought from OzB.

I forgot about the cleaning, wow need to do a lot of cleaning and dishes. I should start soon.
Nice ideas to let her relax after the trip will see around if I could find some good places.

      • If you're short of time you can put it up on AirTasker - then someone will clean for you. Depending if Time >= $

Agreed that she is probably tired of traveling and living out of a suitcase, and is most likely looking forward to getting home and spending some time around the house. Spending 2 nights in a hotel after being away for weeks is probably the last thing she feels like doing. She is probably tired of spending every minute with the 2 year old too… organise a baby sitter for a night and go out to dinner instead.

Day 1. clean house, fresh flowers, cooked dinner, then the following day do the spa/indoor playground suggestion , followed by a date (day 3), just the two of you. I know I would apprecciate this speaking from a mother/wife point of view. Good luck :)

Why does she need a treat for having an overseas holiday? she just had a treat.

Feel free to fly me to New Zealand…lol. Seriously, clean and tidy the house, cook a meal or two ahead, wash her car if she has one and of course do the grocery shopping.

Any home renovations or things that need to be fixed around the house? Do it while they're away.

And yes, as others have already said, clean house for when she comes back is a big +1.

Make sure there's food in the fridge too lol.

Hard to speak for your wife and daughter but I doubt they'd be keen to pack up and go on another trip so soon after returning home. Coming home after an overseas trip is bliss - just make it lovely and cosy and shower them with attention :)

Agree w' all the ideas to make it a pleasure to come home and breathe a sigh of relief. Anyone who thinks that a long time w' a 2 year old does not need a lot of relief doesn't have one. And don't forget to do the washing and change the sheets, not in that order.

  • Best decision is the tidy house however for added wow factor, you could get a limo to pick them up from the airport when they arrive, you know the chauffeur holds the passengers name on a card et al stuff?

Dunno the cost from Mascot to wherever you live in Sydney but here's a google search link to limo services.

    Hope she appreciates the effort.

Draw a little picture of a spider on the toliet roll where the paper is loose. Make it black ink. Make sure it can be seen.

She will be very suprised when she visits the throne room and hopefully she will have a good laugh after.

My husband bought me a bike and its the best present he could of given me. I now ride with my children and its great fun. I don't know if she already has a bike but you can get a baby seat put on the back.
If you also have a bike its a great way to spend time with the family outdoors. Its cheaper than a weekend away and lasts much longer.
    Its just a suggestion.
