Hammer 'N" Tongs Draught Beer - 30 block of cans $30 @ Coles Liquorland (All States)

61

Saw this in the catalogue this morning. Not sure how it tastes but for $1 per can its a pretty good deal for a mid-high strength (4%) beer.

You can even taste test it before you buy Mon-Fri 3-6pm and Sat-Sun 12-5pm.

"A full flavoured and refreshing classic Lager, made with Pride of Ringwood Hops and cold filtered".

It's available nationally at all Liquorland stores.

  • What's the normal price?

    • Normally $40-43 in FNQ

I don't know why but I just assume this stuff would taste like battery acid… I also assume what battery acid would actually taste like so that just confuses things..

    • this is coles's own brew right?

so probably pass on that given the relative quality of the colesworth produce

      • It's made by Boags.

        • was made by Boags, now made in Vietnam.

  • having worked as inventory manager at Coles….this used to be brewed by Boags and was dreadful now its brewed in Vietnam and doesn't taste as bad as it used to….

    • Not tasting as bad as it used to does not mean it tastes even remotely good.

This is part of the brand relaunch and the brand is now brewed locally here in Australia.

  • I knew this used to be made by Boags…And it was never sold in Tassie..haha.

  • Tastes pretty bad, but at $1 per can, well…

If you don't mind VB or XXXX then it shouldn't be too offensive for you.

  • Rubbish beer, wouldn't even drink this if it was free

I bought a single can ($2.10) and can confirm that this is made in Australia and tastes great.
You'll enjoy it if you like Tooheys New which is also similar to XXXX.
    Great value for money!
