Gaming mouse recommendation

Per title, I would like a recommendation on a gaming mouse.

  1. Budget capped @ roughly $100, slightly flexible.
  2. I mainly play FPS games like Battlefield 4, TF2 & role playing games like Dishonoured & Skyrim.
  3. Would like to be able to purchase it locally as my old mouse is starting to act up.
  4. Preferable something wired.

Thank you in advance!

    • I vote again for the g700.

If you dont like the idea of wireless mice, it plugs in with a cable that makes it like a normal mouse, ie, plugs in the front and goes into the usb (I actually never use mine wirelessly). its already much higher in reaction times than most other gaming mice anyway, even in wireless mode.

I'm also very against razer mice, they're not bad per se, but I've had 2 and they have not had very long lives (lazer died in both of them in about a year after purchase).

  • I'd recommend going for the deathadder or trying it out somewhere. I've found it to be more comfortable than the logitech range and if you're mainly playing fps you don't need an unnecessary amount of buttons and the two side buttons it has are nice to use.

  • Thanks for the recommendations so far guys.
I've edited to add that I prefer something that is wired over a wireless one.

  • +1

    G502. BEST MOUSE HANDS DOWN

    • Got the G502 as soon as it was available online. Love everything about it except for the metal scroll wheel. It's slippery when you have dry fingers.

If you can live with that, then it's a very comfortable and smooth mouse.

  • Naga.

  • ive been using a steel series sensei mouse for about 3 years now… still going strong.

  • Don't know how important performance is to you

3366 (Logitech exclusive) is considered the best performing sensor on todays market followed by the 3310.

Besides budget and genre of games played there are many other factors you need to take into account when choosing a gaming mice.
Grip style, sensitivity (CPI/DPI, distance/360), acceleration, prediction (angle snapping, drift control, correction), smoothing, LOD, malfunction speed, firmware, driverless, onboard, weight, size, shape (body, grip), cable, additional buttons, switches, actuation force, mousepad…etc
Pretty much all modern mices can achieve 1000Hz but it's not always be the best to use the highest polling rate. Sensor performance can suffer based on your setup, configurations and they way you use your mouse. Something trivial as purchasing a new mousepad can improve the performance of the sensor.

For most there is no perfect mouse. Try before you buy (if possible).
It all boils down to how much research you're willing to do. But if you want to keep it simple; choose one that meets the most important criterias.

    Personal top picks:
    (no specific order)

Logitech G502 - Pixart 3366 //you may not like the shape, weight

    Mionix Avior 7000 - Avago 3310 //ambidextrous
    Mionix Naos 7000 - Avago 3310 //ergonomic right-handed

Zowie FK1 - Avago 3310 //huano switches - fatigue from higher actuation force
    (not released)

    Other mice using 3310:

    Kone Pure Optical Military
    Steelseries Rival
