By comparison, without specials, Territory Jerky is $135/kg (250g bags only), Geronimo's is $90/kg only if you buy a 1kg bag, much more if you buy the smaller 40g varieties, Jim's Jerky is $82.50 per 1kg bag, more if smaller once again. So this is a great opportunity to try out the three flavours at a decent price and hoard up like myself. I got 1.5kg as I go through one or two bags of these a day easily.
Flavours available are Teriyaki which provides a slightly sweet taste, BBQ which has a smoky flavour and a very mild peppery kick to it and Original flavour which is the standard soy sauce taste, slighlty saltier than other brands but I prefer as salty flavours go well with beer.
I love my jerky and I prefer the moisture and softness in Jack Link's varieties. Although not exactly a jerky, their steak bars and beef nuggets are absolutely divine! I also like Territory Jerky, not a fan of Jim's as it is a bit dry but I do like their flavours and Geronimo's have some of the best flavours in my opinion.
Word of warning, Jack Link's DO use MSG in their product, so if you're concerned about this, then stay away! Apparently some people get headaches and have allergies to MSG but I have also heard that unborn unicorn tears can cure oversensitive gullibility.
horrible, overprocessed stuff
and not anywhere near "real" jerky but to each their own
