World cup and Le Tour at the same time, to celebrate this holy convergance I am after a bike trainer. It would be fun to join the tour de lounge ( bit late I know) I have had a look around and understand there are three main types magnetic, fluid and resistance.
Apart from that I have no idea what I should be buying, I'm an Oz bargain kinda guy but don't want to end up with rubbish.I'm also over 6'3 and 110kg so I tend to brake cheap crap really quickly through normal use, I'd be using it on a mountain bike, cos thats what I got.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, of course a true Ozbargainer would just go outside and use the road, but my two young'uns can't keep up with me when they are on their balance bikes……thnx
I'd avoid magnetic, it might just be my cheapo old exercise bike, but i've found that they give a really uneven level of resistance as you complete a revolution. This leads to it feeling unnatural and not something i can mindlessly do while watching TV
