  The first time I heard this song, I thought the group was American. I think the word "American Apparel" has a sort of subconscious effect where because it has the word "American" in it, and it's an American brand, then anyone singing about it must therefore be American.

    So the band should change it's name depending on the season? If they called themselves 5 seconds of winter, the name would no longer be relevant in 3 months either.

        Check the date on their Youtube video. FEB 24, 2014. That's summer. In fact, considering it went up 5 days before summer ended, it makes the name "5 seconds of summer" even more appropriate, don't you think?
