Agreed, i don't know Anyone who doesn't avoid those like the plague. Considering their prices, they must have an absolute killer marketing team if they've stayed alive for this long.

I used to think the same, made fun of them, thought it ridiculous that they are so pricey buy ugly and swore I'll never buy them.

Until I wore them because a hostel I stayed at provided these for their patrons. Wow, so comfy!! Felt like my feet had nothing on, so light and free! I was converted. Don't buy the fake cheap ones, because chances are they would be made out of diff material, bad ergonomics and are uncomfy. People really need to try them on for at least a few hours before they notice how great they are in comparison to other footwear (comfort-wise).

        • that's alot of assumption for 'chances are'…

      • i was the same but they are great for gardening…

  • Hopefully my dignity doesn't leak through those holes

  • You wouldn't see me dead in these

  • They must be the most comfortable shoes in the world; can't see any other reason why people would wear these things.

    • Unfortunately they are, bloody hideous but very comfortable.
I bought 10 or more pairs several years ago at a bargain basement shop, genuine crocs, for $4 a pair, even cheaper than the rivers version

  • Damn, they are expensive. Any reason to buy the real thing over the dollar store ones?

    • I haven't seen the men's boots selling at the dollar stores…

    The following are not reduced…

    edit :

Never mind, they got reduced at the checkout….

  • Even if they offered a "125% discount, with free postage" (i.e., money delivered to my door) I can honestly say I would NOT utilise the offer… just in case someone (friend or foe) caught sight of the van anywhere near my driveway.
    Wow.
Kinda' funny how united OBs are on this comparatively obscure product/issue! … Hilarious, actually.
    Yet completely justified …

The gardening boots are actually quite good, just too expensive…

So I bought a nice design one and paid a premium - all of $49 for my pair. And wear them everywhere when I am not wearing at work or running. Forth year now, and think its time for a replacement. Average $12/year for an extremely comfortable footwear. OBs think it is expensive? I say its good value!

    • No, Ozbs never said its expensive.

I still wouldn't order one even if it was free!

  • Nothing says "Yes! I've given up on life" more than wearing crocs.

Is it really that hard to design comfortable footwear that doesn't resemble a horror character?

  • They have lots of styles that aren't like the traditional crocs. I wear Mary Jane style ones to work and they are without a doubt, the most comfortable work shoes I've ever had. I've heard their sneakers are quite good too.
Also, the ugly regular crocs are fantastic to use as gardening shoes. I bought some really cheap a while back and wear them constantly (just never in public). They are really durable and it doesn't matter if they get all wet and muddy. Plus, they're really comfortable. Don't knock 'em till you try them :-)

  • After much convincing, I convinced Mrs Muncan to get a pair. Two hours later and she was laughed by strangers. Hasn't warn them since. </tinyviolin>

  • I guess I am confident with who I am, enough so that I couldn't give a toss about what other people think of my footwear.
My crocs are purple and others are yellow and they look horrendous but do I care when they are comfortable?
I have no issue wearing pink shirts, others would probably think that wearing pink has something to do with my sexuality.

  • the duet athens are the comfiest and best fitting pair or thongs that i've ever had, and they last a good 2-3 years per pair.. wish australia got better colours though

    • I have a pair of them on at the moment ^_^. People are just too ignorant/caughtup/trying to troll, to realise Crocs brand is more than just a pair of clogs.

Greatest shoes in the world for toddlers. Great find, thanks scotty!

  • Noticed on the weekend Bunnings are now selling genuine Crocs Gumboots.

  • Not the cheapest ever, but I've been waiting for quite a while. Buy 3 pairs on sale get another 30% off is good.

    Their website claims the following:
"Buy any 2 sale items and get an additional 20% off, Buy 3 or more sale items and get an additional 30% off". This is misleading as the additional discounts applies ONLY to a very restricted range of colours as the woman I rang at Crocs tried to explain. The items I was looking at were supposedly 25% off but the ones eligible for the additional 20% were actually discounted by 17%. So while they are offering decent discounts (I wouldn't look at them for a minute at the usual prices) they're simply playing games and making misleading claims.

Lost two sales as a result and most likely a potential customer for life.

I've had Crocs and the cheap knockoffs - Crocs are better but the knockoffs at $5 will do.

    • Yes, a very restrictive color/size range but I don't see much misleading here.

25% off apply on the whole site including regular and on-sale items, and the additional discount apply to sale items only. I bought three pairs (kids and adult) and did see additional 30% off applied on my order. Brought kids crocs down to $20.99/pair and adult's $34.99/pair.

Anyway, far from the best price but pretty much just in time for me. If my kids' crocs were not broken, I probably wouldn't jump in.

      • You don't see it presumably because you didn't understand what I wrote. As I said the extra discount applies to only SELECTED sales items, not ALL sale items as they claimed. If I could be bothered I'd report them for misleading advertising. If they were a bricks and mortar store I'd insist they honour their statement. Only way to weed out shonky businesses practices.

        • Alright, I guess it's just different opinions on which category the 25% off falls in. You think since everything is 25% off, then all items are on-sale. But probably Crocs (or maybe just me) categorise items into two separate categories, regular or on-sale. And because of their birthday promotion, there was an extra discount added to all items sitewide, which is an independent promotion rather than whole site on-sale.

Anyway, I have no problem if you are willing to report them, but it could just be different aspects we see from the same thing.

Also I am not sure if they've changed their wording accordingly, now I read extra 30% off apply to online exclusive clearance items, they probably have changed it due to complains.

        • Wrong again. I picked some items markled as on sale, but it was only certain colours within those categories which qualified for the extra discount. This may have been an unintentional "mistake". If they subsequently rectified their language, good on them. Still won't get me back as a customer.

  • I don't mind the look O.O but don't the soles of your feet sweat like a bugger in these? (Disclaimer: I've never worn a pair)
