Just wanted to let people know. (In case they didn't know already) The Campbelltown UWS campus has a Clinic where undergrads and post grads have to deal with patients. If you have hurting feet and can't afford the price of a podiatrist then check out the Uni Clinic.
It's cheap (though I'm not sure how much a podiatrist visit is) $30 for the first session $20 after that.
Students are required to deal with people in their course for a certain number of clinical hours. They are supervised by qualified professionals so you don't need to fear about being diagnosed by students.

As this is a teaching clinic, fees cannot be claimed on your health fund, Medicare or Veterans Affairs. Please note that payment is required at the time of treatment and we accept cheque, credit or EFTPOS payments.
I just wanted to let people know as they don't get that many clients so I wanted to advertise it a bit for them. I've used them and it was a pretty good experience.
Gee thanks! Will try soon I have flat pancake feet and one podiatrist quoted $700 for scan and custom insole.
