These deals are not worn by the supplier alone. So much do ebay lose?. Eg they wear 10% of the discount and supplier wear the rest?. Is a sign of deperate measures move stock?. Why dont more suppliers jump on this 20% banwagon?

Surely its some loss leading promo wheather its dse kogan or ebay.
i dont shop at eastbay ever since a growing number of items no longer ship to aust, same with amazon iv gone cold turkey on both, might be suppliers fault but i dont care. There are others that do ship to aust, so i go with them.
Was thinking that myself. Some of the things like the discounted Iphones from the group deal (didn't buy one) they must have taken an absolute hosing on, and I can't see Kogan being keen to take those losses when it isn't even through their own storefront.
If they aren't making money what is the incentive?
- EBay will eat a lot of those fees as part of the 20% discount as a boost to encourage more spending pumping up their books.
- PayPal will sit on everyone's dough for a few days earning interest before it is transferred to said companies account.
3.Kogan will hold the cash in an account for a week or two earning interest before buying stock in HK. They would have pre arranged heavy discounts based on agreed purchased volumes also. - All these sales make all stores involved look nice and fat for end of year and also clear out stock on hand. DSE is getting stuff out pretty fast which means thy son have it in a warehouse.
- All eBay fees/shipping fees are paid in July so it isn't an expense for this fin year.
These are all guesses but remember we are looking at millions and millions in revenue and very half a percent adds up.
Ebay lose? LOL, never. Their income outdoes that of some small/medium countries.
