A Vision for a better price comparison app
There are three types of people in this world. The early consumer, the patient consumer and the very patient consumer . The early consumer or as I like to refer to them as the take my money type, are the early adopters, these are the people that line up for the next big iPhone or game. These people pride themselves on being the first. Then we have the patient consumers, most of us, including myself. We wait till the initial rush dies down and wait for the first round of discounts and the product to become widely available. The last group are the masters of patience. They are willing to wait a year or two, even if the technology is outdated in order to strike up a product at a bargain price.
But we all have one thing in common, we all want to save our hard earn money, just the length we are willing to goto separate us. If your an early consumer you want to find out all the stores that are going to stock your item on release date, and find the cheapest price. Currently this involves looking at several retailers websites including Digital distributions like Steam and Origin. Patient consumers have the hardest job, they have to discover discounts which involves regulating checking the promotions tab on your Gmail inbox, junk mail, retailer websites and of course the OzBargain site, but often your too late.
This is where price comparison apps come into play. However in my opinion the majority of them kinda suck. The most popular ones Getprice and ShopBot all try to solve these problems but fail to provide a good experience for the following reasons:
They often display multiple results for the exact same product, often prices are mixed between other products that are not even relevant to the users search. Even worst, the prices for a product maybe spread across many pages.
They don’t have half the retailers you actually care about
They are not very reliable. You don’t know when the last time they updated there prices, or how often they update their prices
A couple of months ago I set out to create a better price comparison app. One that solved all the above problems and suited the needs of any type of consumer. I have developed an advanced algorithm that is smart enough to match products and even understand variations of product such as the colour, platform and more. You can even view pricing history for every product and subscribe to price alerts on products even across variations of the same product.
The app will be coming Mid July and I’m very excited to get it into peoples hands.
The best part is its a bargain and will be available for free on the App Store.
Visit the website to get exclusive information about the app.

Let me know what you would like to see in a price comparison app and whether this app would be useful.
I prefer staticice personally but I'll probably give yours a try if it's available online (or possibly android but I don't like installing unproven apps just to try them).
