Laptop Buying Help - 14" Decent Battery Lightweight All in One

Hi Computer Gurus,

I need help buying a 14" Laptop All-in-One with decent battery, power and reasonable weight.

It is for University use. Web browsing, movies, word and general computing….Not gaming.

Seen some which are pretty expensive and would like to keep it under $1000.

Core i3 and i5 preferred as it seems to garnered good reviews.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, especially if you have a brand and model I should look at.

For around the $1000 mark Macbook Air 13" refurbs are hard to beat. Battery life, CPU performance, disk performance, build quality, keyboard and trackpad are all best in class. Expandability is so-so.

As a student, you can get Windows 8 for $69 for your Mac if you really want it.
