560

"From July 1, all day, every day, the Pizza Hut Classics range will be priced at just $4.95 pick-up, while the Favourites range, Pizza Hut’s premium menu, will cost only $8.50 pick-up. Pizza Hut [is] refusing to charge extra for chicken – unlike its major competitors who can charge up to $3 for the privilege of chicken."

I want a good recipe for pizza base.

  • I don't much consider a pizza with one or two toppings very cheap at $5.. You can get a pretty good frozen pizza from Aldi for $3. If they included their Legends range in this deal, then I'd actually be impressed.

    • +7

Different league. Aldi doesn't pay someone too cook it for you either

  • +5

Dominos is still better, but the no chicken surcharge is still good

If you're paying extra for chicken, you're doing it wrong.

      • How should I be doing it? I used a discount code on Fri for Dominos ($30 for 3 pizzas, 2 GB, 2 soft drinks) but was still charged extra for the chicken pizza.

        • I found out by having a play around on the site, but I'm pretty sure it has been mentioned in previous posts.

All you do is remove something you don't want (e.g. Pineapple) from your pizza selection, and add the chicken.

I think you can make 2 substitutions before you are charged.

        • Cool - I'll try it next time we have a greasefest!

          Thanks!

I feel like I haven't had pizza hut in forever. I wonder if its still as bad as I remember it

    • The toppings slide off the pizza, and if it actually makes it into your mouth, it's worse lol

I'm spoilt, Pizza Hut and Dominos are the same distance from my house… decisions… decisions…

Dominos has already started $4.95 all day everyday for value pizzas

And hav introduced a new value plus range for $7.95

    • Try 165969 for $6.95 value plus pickup.
Domino's has moved some pizzas from its value range to its value plus range, which annoys me. No more $5 margherita pizzas from Domino's, but this Pizza Hut deal makes up for it.

      • Why is Margherita value plus? It's only cheese and tomato sauce???

        • No. It's sauce, cheese, fresh tomato, cherry tomato and basil.

  • I think pizza hut is better than dominos but the deals are less frequent. Eagle boys butchers block beats all.

I'm lucky my local pizza hut has all you can eat and the coupons for that come frequently.

I would get a butchers block everytime but vouchers are so rare and i cbf paying 13$ for it

Pizza hut recycles the same codes and I've found some of them work pretty much all the time near me (Gold Coast QLD stores). I usually use either EDLPP6 or LDLPP7 for cheaper single pizzas ($6.95 or $7.95 each). Some of the other codes from past deals work randomly as well so always worth a shot. Not sure what will happen to them with the new pricing though.

What happens to the Mia pizzas which iirc were going for $5.50?

    • They were $5 each and 3 for $13. Gone.

Looks like they have done a review and restructure of their menu. The premium pizza's have also gone.

Guessing the Mia's and the premiums weren't profitable enough or caused too much confusion so they have simplified the menu and gone back to how it was when I worked there in the early 90s.

  • Dominos is usually much cheaper than Pizza Hut and offer great deals more often, which is why I usually go there. This might make me reconsider - I've always thought Pizza Hut had a better quality pizza.

Also, this "Pizza revolution" Pizza Hut are touting is at least ten times better than that great disappointment (which turned out to be those silly Chef's Best pizzas) which Dominos hyped the shit out of.

    • Both don't give you much meat and toppings.

Go to an independent pizzeria for best results.

Right I have been off the scene for a while, Pickup a $4.95:
    1. How long will it take to cook?
    2. Can I pay via credit card\paywave
    3. Can pay via AMEX?
    4. Is it eatable?
    5. Is there any benefit becoming a member or having coupons for $4.95 pizza only? ie. 2 for $8?
    6. Is it pre-made, freeza, oven, box gout the door
    7. Are they classed as all classed as a Restaurant(like Mcdonalds) at Petrol stations….Salary sacrifice?

    Thanks all

    Donatello out!

      1. Is it eatable?

There has been some debate about this one. I certainly hope so. I had one on Friday. I'm still alive, hopefully I stay that way.

      1. Are they classed as all classed as a Restaurant(like Mcdonalds) at Petrol stations….Salary sacrifice?

What job lets you salary sacrifice your food?

The new Menu is a disaster. I was a big fan of Pizza Hut, they had a good amount of toppings before (not extras that you had to pay for additionally) but I've just had $4.95 Cheese pizza and it was horrible. The only good thing about it was stuffed crust which I paid extra for, other than that - there was barely any sauce on it and cheese was present as thin burned something (can't even call it a layer as it was barely recognizable as cheese). Very disappointed. I guess it's a great example of saying - you get exactly what you paid for… $4.95 = they lost me as their customer. If you choose to order I'd suggest add all your toppings in double, especially for simple pizzas. Super Supreme was passable (just drop "Super" here) but with greatly reduced amount of toppings (comparing to the past menu). Not good. Pizza Hut joined the Dominoes in their quest to get rid of the customers. Good job lads, you might achieve it faster than fast with this new Menu.

    • best option is now woolworths, aldi or coles deli pizzas…

      more topping, decent enuff value

  • "premium menu, will cost only $8.50 pick-up"

Yeah right I'm getting 10.50 + 1.05 for public holiday.

Looks like it's the last time I try ordering from pizza hut.

    I'll stick to Dominos :)
