  • Do I need gas connector to install this? I think my gas connector is in the kitchen which quite a distance to the landry room

    • you do need a accredited plumber to install this, as it is a gas appliance

  • I really doubt how this can be economical to run over electricity ones. I remember the time where we were looking for rental properties with gas cooking instead of electric and people would pay more for that. I am not if that's still the case. According to the way the gas prices went up it's no longer a cheap alternative. Gas too seems to be an imported luxury. My gas bills go well over my electricity in good 4 months in winter and if I take the average there's no difference compared to electricity.
On top of that when you have to pay for a millionaire gas plumber to come and run a tube and fix this, it can cost arms and legs. There are countries where gas cloth dryers can be very economical but I don't think it applies in here.

    • +1

The gas cookers are not about cost, they're just much much better for cooking than electrical.

    • Can you suggest a good dryer for me? I am looking for a small economical dryer for use only in wet weather (we usually hang our clothes).

      • This is what I got recently. I'm quite happy with it. You can go for 5kg model if you don't have a lot to dry. http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/Electrolux_6kg_Senso…

It's a sensor dryer, stops working after clothes are dry, supposed to be more economic than regular dryers. Note that good ventilation is required in the room where you place your sensor dryer.

  • rebate only applies to NSW? Might want to stick that in the title if its correct.

    • nope, just bought it and im in SA, i did get the rebate

      • Whats the rebate code then? Maybe I'm just stupid but I cant seem to figure out how to get the rebate. :(

I'm in WA and the discount wont auto apply. I've tried NSW postcodes and they do get the discount. This rebate wont work for everyone! So please put that in the title!

  • Been looking at getting a gas dryer. Cant seem to get the rebate to work for me (I'm in SA too)

  • all i did was add to the cart, rebate adds on at checkout

just checked, they must have changed it to NSW only AFTER i purchased it . sorry guys
