    Which apps ?

    • +1
    • How do I put them into the cloud without downloading?

    • -1

The ones with US versions of the apps here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/150755 ;)

      • -1

PLEASE report this post if you want to be able to see all the deals on the US store in the deal it took me an hour to make as the link here doesnt simple work as .com

  • +2

Why do I only see 19?

(because, you know, 19 is not enough!)

  • Will I still be able to use these apps if I instal them then change the store back to US to use the free coins?

    • Yes

    • Coins are fine.
You would have a problem if you have a subscription of Kindle FreeTime for your kids or Amazon Prime..
Other than that is all good.

  • Hi - how do I change the country/region setting for Amazon? These deals says "not available in your region". I think my amazon is somehow set to US. Thank you.

    • +4

      Top right of page

Your Account —- > Manage Your Kindle
—- > "Your digital account is currently registered at Amazon.com. Go to the Manage Your Kindle page at >Amazon.com."
      —- > Settings
      —- >
      Country Settings
      Current country
      United States> AU

      • did that.. still saying it's not available for me.. even though when i go to check, my country is set to AU

        so annoying -_-

        • +1

After you've done those steps, use your browser's Anonymous mode (or Privacy mode), and relogin to your Amazon account. The problem is that you still had cookies from when you're in the US, so when you tried to buy the apps from the AU store, it's still seeing those cookies.

        • +1

AFTER you change the country you should see at the top of the page (under the search bar) some writing highlighted in yellow about buying from amazon Australia and there should be a blue link you can click on. Do so and it will take you to another page to confirm that you want to shop at amazon.com.au.

This is how I got mine to work. Not sure about how to change it back to US store. Probably same procedure but I'm too tired and I'll worry about that when a deal on the US store appears.

        • i did that too and it still didn't work

but all i had to do was log out and log back in :)

          thanks both of you above

        • Same problem, it´s not working US Store, maybe tomorrow works.

        • +1

Only worried about the swapping back to US in case you require an IP Address or something (too painful to do). Nice apps though..

        • +1

          In the same boat.

HAving a US account and cautious about setting up AU account with same email address.

Anyone else have success switching and does that retain all the existing US purchases?

        • All you have to do is log into your account and change the store you want to buy from, I flicked around a couple months ago and it wasn't too bad all your purchases remain, if you have a kindle fire it is a bit more work to get it to flick back over from AU store to US store.

Wait until tomorrow and these apps will probably be free on the US store

        • +2

I couldn't get this to work but changing it here:

          https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/digital/fiona/manage?ie=UTF8&re…

          did work.

        • Dont be concerned - you can chop and change between Amazon AU/US/UK/etc as often as you like, takes two minutes to do. No IP address problems etc.

      • +1

You don't need to change anything in your account at amazon.com.
Simply log into amazon.com.au with your normal credentials.

      • I tried changing country in manage your kindle page, using igcognito in chrome, log out and back in, none of that worked. So I logged into Amazon.com, into manage my address book, and select the Au address as default address. That seem too work, as my default address was still a US one.

  • Thanks wonderful

  • thanks!

  • Amazing, thanks!

  • +2

+1 Splashtop Remote Desktop HD. Works great for Hearthstone on my Note 2!

    • I agree that splashtop remote desktop is great, but why would you choose splashtop remote desktop HD over splashtop 2 remote desktop - which is newer and free anyway.

  • +1

Are these available in the US store? :S

    • +1

My guess is they will be this evening.

  • On my Andriod tablet now.
Said to download -the Amazon ap, so I did that, but now when I look at the apps via the Amazon app, they have prices on them.
First time I've used their store, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

This is after going back via the link here.

    • queue them up using the instructions here mate, then they'll appear in the app. Then you download them through the amazon app on your device,

Afterwards the amazon app can be frozen with titanium backup and the apps still work

  • -5

sweet, i use root explorer, feels good to have a legit copy

  • got'em all thanks OP!

  • +2

Some new apps to put on my new Asus Memo Pad, cheers :)

  • Thanks for the post =) A few new apps to try out now.

  • How do you que them so that you don't have to one click back and forth?
Select and get all at once?

    • Ctrl+Left click to open link in new background tab. Once you have purchase the item, Ctrl+W to close tab.

      • +1

OR scroll click to open new link.

  • +1

Dungeon village is a fun little game.

  • How can I quickly select them all without downloading.

  • EZ Money Manager is hands down the best budgeting and expense tracker app that I have used so far

    • its just because you have not tried those better ones.

      • +4

care to name few (the better ones)

      • Second that, I'm looking for exactly this

      • +1

The developer released new product called expense IQ which is even better (and the best currently with expense/budget/bill reminders). But no indication of publishing to amazon !, there will be so much amazon coins/credits, he will have a huge hit if he releases to amazon.

        • That looks terrific thanks..and good thing is it allows importing data from EZ money manager…:)..thanks for letting me know about this

  • Wow. This is an awesome collection. I'd say the best Amazon has ever done! Great work OP! Thank you.

  • +1

First video game ever for me: Sonic 2.

  • Before you go through the effort of changing stores (although it is not that hard) if it follows recent trends it will be on US amazon tonight/tomorrow

  • Do they keep the Plex app up to date?

    • they haven't in the past, it's always been a couple of releases behind (furthest I remember was about 4 versions old) but that's not to say they wont do better in the future.

  • -1

    Thanks!
I installed the Amazon app and got my free copy of acalander+ (was using non-plus version for free) and same with MyBackupPro!

  • nvm

  • +1 for Business Calendar by Appgenix. Recently changed from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to a Nexus 5 - loved S Planner on the Samsung device (it's the native calendar app), but Business Calendar has so much more functionality. Trialled the free one for a little while, then bought it last week on the Play Store hahahaha damn

  • +4

    worth it just for plex

  • A really general question - do you think changing to the AU region will bite me in the future? i.e. restrict what I can buy

(I got an offer with $20 credit to switch)

    • +1

you can switch back at any time so i'd say go for it, although you will lose promotional credit when you switch so make sure you spend your $20 credit first.

    • +2

Credit does not transfer across regions, but when you switch back to the US app store the credit will still be there. No need to spend it first.

  • Of course card wars goes free the day after i buy it. meh, bought it with the $20 promotional credit so its all good ;)

    • how do you get the $20 promo credit?

      • I got an email from Amazon with a $20 code for use in Australian Appstore

  • tried to get Ravensword: Shadowlands

    got the following:

    We are sorry
You are not eligible to purchase this app due to geographical restrictions

    =/

    • +1

Change region to AU. See above for instructions.

    • +2

      Sign into US Amazon.

At the top right corner click

      My account
      Manage your content and devices
      Settings tab
Country settings -> select your Aus address

Now a message box pops up at the top saying "Great news! You can now shop for digital content at Amazon.com.au in Australian Dollars."

Click the blue link on the line directly below it "Learn more about transferring to Amazon.com.au". It will take you to a new page where you can confirm "Shop for Kindle eBooks and Appstore apps and games at Amazon.com.au".

Then sign into Amazon AU and make your default 1 click address your Aus address.

      • cheers guys, problem solved!

  • +1

Ah, these free apps make it even harder to spend >3000 coins I accumulated (before end of July)
    :-)

    • Wait, what? I thought coins last for 1 year?! ie. coins from this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/144552 would expire in may 2015?

      • luka must be confused about credits which expire in 1 month but coins last 1 year

  • Thanks, got a few cute games :D

  • Nice find! Thanks

  • Thanks Op, worked for me. Cheers!

  • Login to their web and keep clicking at the moment.

    How to select multiple items?

Just in time for my new Acer A1-830 :)

  • Can anybody confirm that you do NOT need the Amazon App installed permanently to use these apps?

EDIT: OK, it looks like you do. I'll skip, thanks

    • Is that really a deal breaker?

      • For me it is. I don't like the idea of "free" apps being used for data mining. If it's free, it should be free, no strings attached

  • thanks op

  • AccuWeather Platinum app doesn't seem to have any widgets?

  • +2

It's free in the US store now!
(I checked 5 apps on the list)

Every time I see an Amazon AU ozbargain now, I just wait for 4pm as I can't be bothered switching country.

    • +1

Can we please have this post updated to reflect that this is now available on www.amazom.com AND not have another post.

      • +1

Is that the alternate zombie site? Sorry, couldn't help myself as I nearly clicked on it.
Oh, on a side note, PvZ 2 got an update yesterday… its now a nearly 500M game but totally worth it.

      • +1

        LOL too late https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/150717

I agree with you and that's why I didn't post it as a separate deal, but I knew someone would soon

  • +4
    • More actually. Some of the apps in the original list are free but do not appear in your link eg. Sonic 2

    • Thanks for the link, I've made good use of it :)

  • Not much good apps. I did install Enigmatis though.

  • Any way of purchasing these apps without an Android device?
I'm switching from iphone to android but haven't got the new phone yet.

    • I just browse amazon on my pc (the link above navinjd was so kind to provide) and just ass the games to my account which are then added to the cloud for me to download later on my device.

      • Me did the same.

      • Lol just re read my post, it's supposed to say add not ass :)

        • The same me did.

  • Plex!

  • All over. Sunday in the US. Please mark as expired.
