I'm leaving Australia for a year and would like to keep my mobile number for that period. Can someone recommend a telco company to go with that does porting service from TPG?

After some search, I decide to go for AldiMobile's Pay as you go at $5 sim delivered + $15 365 day recharge.
BTW you dont have to buy the extra $15 with Aldi
the $5 card works this way.
Its valid for 365 days, for incoming calls.
For 30 days you can make outgoing calls to the value of $5, then those outgoing credits expire.
Your number is still active for incoming calls and you still retain the number.When you get back you can add $15 and then make calls for another 365 days from this recharge (upto the $15 value)

they all do porting I'm pretty sure
maybe try vodaphone $1 sim + $20 365 day recharge.
