Just wondering if I can claim for the TRS for purchases made online?
I recently made purchases from DSE's website and no 'physical' copy of the tax invoice was given, only a soft copy emailed to me. Will the printed copy of the tax invoice be acceptable?

Just print that out. As long as its dated with your name and clearly states the amount of GST, you're good.

last 2x i went to the airport i was just required to fill out a form and put that in a envelope with the receipt, and address it to myself. was claiming < $1k
last time i went even a copy of the receipt worked (even though the sign at the desk said original tax invoice only, copies not accepted)
