Definitely my worst experience with their free data weekend
I got 2 accounts (mobile+tablet)
Worked beautiful with both
But suddenly I got overspent of $100
Mostly within two hours frame 21-23.00 last night
All of them are around 100mb block each
I didn't even use my iPad that time
At home and wifi is on
Been using this plan for 4 months with no issues
Called the call centre, no product knowledge and promised me his manager will call me tomorrow afternoon
Anyone else having the same situation?
Better check your tablet

Sorry to hear some got charged.
I was told by someone who worked at Telstra that if you call up a call centre they only have the authority to credit $100 worth of stuff and $1000 with manager approval but if you call up complaints they can credit $1000 and $10,000 with manager approval.
So it's probably similar with other companies but ye. I figure Vodafone don't wanna lose any more customers lolTurn OFF data traffic when not being used… so many apps want to update several times a day and also frequently sync..
Some telcos sweat on people leaving their data traffic on… LOL, they cash in big time!!
bought a $20 prepaid recharge the other day, and used it all up by just making 3 or 4 calls, what a rippoff!
Hey OP, I recently had an incident with Vodafone where they told me the wrong information on the phone and then the bill came to an amount which was $7 extra that the guy on the phone quoted me (basically change of onwnership, the guy on the phone said there would be a $1 or $2 fee max pro-rata stuff, and the bill came to $8). So I made a complaint at Vodafone, got a ref number from them and the referred me to the TIO. Filled out the online TIO complaint form the with vodafone ref number, my vodafone account details and stuff. Got a call from TIO a few days later to confirm the complaint. They then passed it on the Vodafone again, got a call from Vodafone a few days later, and the guy on the phone said sorry and stuff and basically the outcome was Vodafone credited the extra charged amount to me and were very very polite and nice on the phone, which I found pretty suprising from a telco!
Hopefully this can sort of help you, I know it's a completely different problem to yours lol. But just thought I would quickly share this with you!
