Anyone familiar with consumer rights able to share some wisdom with me? I have briefly had a quick read online, but unable to find anything specifically on my query when it comes warranty exchanges from online purchases.
Bought a LED TV from a DSE online sale recently, arrived with damaged speakers, they wanted me to pursue it with the manufacturers Hitachi originally. After talking to their service center in WA they said it sounds like a DOA and DSE should just replace it.
DSE then agreed to pick it up and send me a new one 3 weeks later. I suspect they want to check it before they replace it. I did offer to return it to a store for them to confirm this and then give me a replacement, but as this item is not avaliable instore this option was not avaliable to me.
It appears my only option is to box it all back up and be without my new TV for 3 weeks.
Is this just a matter of poor customer service and me having too high expectations? or should I as a consumer be entiled to more?
My experience with Hitachi is that their speakers on the smaller TVs are terrible. You should push for a refund and buy a different model.
