Christ. It's getting expensive ain't it?

At that price I'd rather buy the sole games that I want then donate the excess to a charity of my choice.

      I agree.
The games aren't worth this price…

    • +2

      I'd pay a dollar for th…oh wait.

Yeah, other things to spend $25 on considering the other sales that are on at the moment.

havent got that amount of money atm…… 0_0

    • +1

Yeah, but at least for this bundle ALL proceeds go to the charity that was chosen (doctors without borders)

Hopefully they don't get your address and phone number - I made a donation online and made the mistake of giving them my real address.
They send out letters asking for more every month, and spam your email quite regularly.

Puts me right off giving them any more money.

Is that the charity or humble bundle? Thanks for that tip though lul, if it was the charity, then I understand what they kinda mean by 'no borders'

      • +3

You can normally assign 100% to the charities available

        • +2

Yeah, I know! What I kinda actually wanted to express was that how the developers were willing to earn nothing guaranteed(except for a good feel you get for doing charity) in this bundle?

        • I wonder if they get a tax deduction for donation to charities

        • Well HB would first have to be claiming the donations they receive from the public as income first and then offsetting it against tax as they distribute it to the charity so I think it would cancel itself out anyway.

    it's a good cause, and it is a donation….
not that im going to do it

  • We donate a small amount monthly to this charity (the only one that we regularly donate to). However I don't think this is going to go all that well for Humble Bundle considering the sales are under 1000 so far (still thats almost 25k already.)

    • Hardly seems a 'humble' amount does it?

      • Yeah the purchases of this bundle are going up very slowly compared to their usual bundles. (like 80 sales in the last 5 hours which is very low compared to usual). Oddly this package doesn't even seem to be linked from the HB front page and is perhaps word of mouth only. I guess the game developers prefer less sales for more cash in this case as it means not as many copies of their titles are out in the wild for no cash return to the developer themselves.
