you cant because this is listed on eBay international not eBay Australia which normally charges sellers more expensive
Ah, gotcha.
Edit: thanks for the above neg for a genuine suggestion, anonymous internet stranger. Just thought it might be able to go through the Aus site.
Something I don't understand - why only 4MP main camera? Are there different versions of the M8?
It's not megapixels. HTC coined the term "ultrapixels"
It's 4UP. Whatever the hell that means. I've asked a rep for the megapixel equivilent, and they said it's apple and oranges, so go figure
Ultrapixels is just marketing fluff.
The pixels on the sensor are larger 2um vs typical ~1.1um. So should in theory get more light with less noise (good for low light), but looking at samples, for the most part, the sacrifice in detail is not made up with low light performance, especially with the compettion packing optical stabilisation.
I thought HTC One was one of the first phones to have OIS?
I have the m8, and I have to say the low light performance really is impressive, so long as you have no ambition of cropping or blowing up your photos.
Nokia lumia ones.
M7 had OIS, M8 doesn't.
I bought the M8 to upgrade the M7, which went to the missus.
The camera is a little bit better at low light compared to the M7, which is significantly better than the Samsung S5. The S5 is grainy, blurry and outright garbage compared to the HTC at night. In full sunlight, the Samsung is slightly better at colors and noticeably better in detail (lots more megapixels).
Since most photos go to bookface, they get cropped anyway so lower megapixels was a justified tradeoff to garbage night photos of the other phones.
Here's a good review on actually living with the phone, not just what features each one has. Full disclosure, I'd never buy the Samsung because it's casing is cheap plastic crap, I much prefer to hold something that feels like it's worth what I paid, so my opinion is somewhat biased - if the M7 was never released, I'd probably have an iPhone 5 right now since I highly value aesthetics and engineering. HTC is as good as, if not better than Apple for the M7 and M8 build and engineering, not needing iTunes was the second most important reason to leave Apple. The HTC just feels awesome to hold.

You're right about the build quality. I had S4 and it's like holding a cheapo plastic toy. When I upgraded my plan, I was going to pick M8, but when I knew that it had non replaceable battery and to replace the battery, you need to remove the screen and mainboard, I had no choice except samsung again. I know I might have to replace the battery after 2 years, and I don't want to get trouble in replacing this one.

They talk a little bit about it here.
Take it with a grain of salt though, your best bet is still to grab sample photos taken by the few phones you are looking at and comparing it yourself.
It works outs around $532 after you apply discount, but with no warranty, you'd be better off paying a little bit more for one that does.
~$514 with 28 Degrees Mastercard
Bought one finally, chosen from Z2 and M8.
So hard…..
What made up your mind? I too am deciding between them both.
M8 should support TD LTE.
What about warranty on this international item?
