  • Got a Remington, pretty disappointed. Battery is dead after 12 months. I bought a Philips (using main power) as a replacement.

    • Don't say that man, I've just got my first electric shaver a Remington a few months ago.

Won't be going back to shaving rash anytime soon :P

  • this one seems similar to my old remington isn't that great of a shaver, but i guess if its $60 off that's not too bad
i myself replaced mine with a philips model which looks similar but much better of a shave

I've been using this model for at least 2 years now and I think it's great.
    - Battery lasts a long time between charges
    - Trimming catcher is lined with a hard plastic type acrylic, easy to wash out with warm water as are the blades
    - Blades still cutting well and so far have not been replaced

It's not one of those waterproof razors so don't take it into the shower or anything dumb like that

The only negative thing I can think of is that the power adaptor has a propriety plug for the base of the razor. I was told this is because the AC converter is not inside the razor itself but on the plug which goes into the wall, unlike many other brands like Philips.

    Bargain at $69

  • Funny enough, the replacement blade cost $79 (according to the order form in the instruction + $5 postage)
better off getting another one :P

  • this is very very tempting indeed. Thanks for posting mrarronax

    • My pleasure :)

coincidentally, there is a Phillips shaver on the front of the new Myer catalogue, (starts today).
It's a mains only model by the look of it, but tis $44.95, (and you get 89 "myer one shopping credits" if you present your "myer one" card………..whatever that is…….)

    • that sounds good too. Hmm which one to get, decisions decisions..
