With so many ps4 prices floating up and down I wasnt sure if it was worth posting.

Assume it starts now as the advertising didnt show start or end dates.
I myself am still struggling as no games have caught my eye. Still finish some unopened ps3 n wii u games.

Plus, judging from the reviews, it was overhyped and lots of the in game content was lied about (Example, youtube 'e3 2012 watchdogs comparison'). Shows you shouldn't hype a game too hard.

He should get Wolfenstein instead of Watch Dogs. It's a better game plus it actually does run better on PS4 than PC. :P
Good thing there's the 'e3' mod for watch dogs on pc, where they reenabled the stuff that ubisoft just decided to disable rather than let the pc have the superior options, makes it somewhat more bareable for owners of the pc version.
Yeah, the game is so unplayable with slightly lower graphics. Man if it's not 8K super HD 100x AA I won't even pick up a game.

I own a PC that can game and a PS3 and a Vita.
Sony have exclusive titles as does the Xbox that don't appear on the PC.
Each to his own. But I think 400ish is a good price to pay for a decent console like the PS4.
Fails? It's not trying to be a computer so it can't fail at that. You buy a console for exclusives, simplicity etc. not for it's capability to run windows.

I play Halo AND Uncharted, and $500 bucks for either next gen at current is stilla little pricey for the amount of games there are (IE nothing good yet. Not a fanof InFamous or SPAWTZ games, no reason to buy either)
It doesn't matter if consoles cannot do 1080p 60FPS, I have a PC to do that job.
I bought consoles and handhelds to play exclusives such as Zelda, Mario, Smash Bros, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Halo and many more.
If you only game on PC then I really pity you.
Exclusives are great, I love Mario. But we're talking about the PS4 here. I also don't pay anything over $200 for Nintendo consoles. $500 is ridiculous.

Any dual core PC with a mid-range level graphics card will run games at full HD, and will be playable (i.e. 30fps+). You're not going to get 60 fps gameplay with high settings on a $500 PC, but does PS4 run everything at 60+ ? I bet it doesn't either.
There's only one model of PS4, so it's going to run everything on the platform with no compatibility issues, because everything has been developed for the platform for all the specific hardware and software in mind.
So yes. It is. That's the entire reason they moved from PS3 to PS4. If they don't it's the fault of the developer.
Whereas there's so many variables with a PC, take the Dark Souls and WatchDogs debacles of recent history; the games were given cataclysmic ratings online because nobody could play the damn game because it wasn't compatible with their graphics card; WatchDogs didn't work with ANY AMD graphics cards.
PC issues are quickly fixed. Oh, and you want to talk about exclusives?? How about Sim City, World of Warcraft, StarCraft 2. Good luck running any of those on your PS4. lol.
I don't think you're really paying attention. Nobody buys a gaming console only and goes "LOL well that's me done for technology!"
If you're talking about recent SimCity however (and, due to myself not being a big Blizzard fan due to them being Capitalist Pigdogs, WoW and Starcraft as well), if those are your go-to exclusive titles then there's no big loss.
I've encountered lot of PC master race people out there but you're probably the worst at it yet.

because if the xbox with inferior hardware specs are still being sold for $550 to $600 then JB was like "well this is a more powerful machine so $550 is a good deal.
it's like how JB wont sell core i7 laptops cheaper then core i3. more powerful machines should sell for more then weaker machines.

FYI this deal is pretty impressive but i must say the catch of the day deal is better. I paid $468 last week with a $220 COTD voucher (which brought it to $448). a couple of days ago i recieved my voucher and used it to purchase watch dogs which was $63 but because of the voucher it came down to $43. Also got a controller from dick smith ebay for $51 after the 20% discount all this with free shipping. Thats $542 for ps4 with 2 controllers and watch dogs. Pretty great and all this thanks to ozbargain.
