So today for about an hour Vodafone network is down and was not able to make calls. So now vodafone have made a apologies for it.
As if we spend some extra data by mistake then we have to pay the extra charge for it although it's done with out purpose and definitely apology will not help at that time so my question is now as the vodafone network is down for several hours don't they have to pay us? Can they just escape with apologies?

Once in a year city rail does provide a free train for one day for the delay's with apology. But mobile carrier never does. And by the way if it's a big company then apology will help and being individual it won't? And what if your mobile plan just got over limit for just one time?
Vodafone are extra-sensitive about bad publicity since the 'vodafail' debacle.
They'll probably do what Virgin did a couple of months ago when a similar outage occurred. There was some free weekend call or text thingy on offer. Something similar, most likely.
Maybe they'll go one better with something else.
Either way, Vodafone reseller customers will probably get nada/zip/zilch.they also gave refunds
Virgin resellers? Really??
BTW Optus was down too at the same time.
Vodafone should compensate for the inconvenience.
Really disappointing:-(
Ref: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2275773My NBN Satellite goes down for 6-7 hours a day once or twice a week, just an unfortunate fact.
Also it might've been a solar flare.
Mine's totally earthbound (about 1/2 metre down in a trench)
Either way, Vodafone reseller customers will probably get nada/zip/zilch.
Nada, you and the OP may be happy to note….
Reseller = MVNO
My train was late today - and they just apologised.
A month ago my NBN went down for 3 hours
Sh.t happens.
Now if it happens often you can complain, otherwise just get on with life.
