SilverStone Precision PS07 USB 3.0 Micro ATX Case $59 + PH from PC Case Gear

180

A very nice, clean looking M-ATX tower that's easy on the wallet. Also has front USB 3.0 ports. It's designed for positive air pressure (less dust buildup) and acoustics (quieter).

RRP usually $90, at $59 it's a good deal for a silent HTPC (or shuttle PC, whatever you wish to call it) case that has enough room to fit in a gaming GPU and up to six HDD's.

Good price, but SPCR preferred the similar, less pretty SilverStone Temjin TJ08-E. If buying just one and lower noise/better cooling was a priority, I'd be thinking of it in terms of maybe $10 extra/year, rather than 60% more.

$10 a year, paid in advance in full.

      • Indeed, the initial burden and resultant forgone interest must be most carefully considered.

    • Depends on how long you intend on keeping it I guess. There's also the issue that the TJ08-E (and the PS07, which has basically the same dimensions) are incredibly small and try to pack a lot of features into a tiny frame. If you're going to do stuff like SLi or Crossfire a mATX (already probably an exercise in futility) these are definately not the cases to get.

      • You shouldn't have any issue with dual cards unless you're running fan/s at lower speeds

I've been waiting for ages for these to to go on special.

The PCCG Checkout is quoting $28 delivery to Sydney. That's a total of $87 delivered to me

Just checked and found that I can get cheaper (under $80) if I collect from a local vendor like ARC:

I don't begrudge PCCG the shipping costs (it's a big box) but people should double-check if they can get a better deal elsewhere once transport is considered.
