    How can I get the app for free if I have an Amazon.com account?

    Change your 1 click address and the address associated with your payment method to your Australian address.
    Go into 'Manage my Kindle' and check that the country settings show Australia. Just below that, it will state: ‘You are currently linked to shop on Amazon.com.au.’ If it says ‘You are currently linked to shop on Amazon.com’, then click the related link to select Amazon.com.au.

      Hi WNK,
      Long time no write to each other.
      I wish I had known this trick this time last week.
      You are right about changing country settings.

      Note that it will take at least 15 minutes for amazon servers to update your change of country.

      Here are the steps I went through to change to Australia:

      Your Account —- > Manage Your Kindle
      —- > "Your digital account is currently registered at Amazon.com. Go to the Manage Your Kindle page at Amazon.com."
      —- > Settings
      —- >
      Country Settings
      Current country
      United States
