Best credit card for rewards?

Hey all

I want to go into the whole credit card rewards thing for flying points and other goodies.

Can anyone suggest a good card?

Best goodie on my card is an extra years warranty on anything under $2000.

Definatley Westpac Altitude (gold) for two reasons,

1) NO points expiry or time limits

2) bonus partners ( extra points from particular stores )

I am not sure if they still do it - I got an offer for free Citibank Gold Visa Card and after a year or so, upgraded it to Platinum. Good points and list of items to shop or transfer to Airline (including singapore airlines). Cost $0 for life. Yes, it has basic travel insurance and 1 year additional warranty on goods that carry a maximum of upto 4 year warranty.

…and yes, they honoured their Nokia N95 misprint that I ordered through Ozbargain post for 12,000 points!
