I had my lights and showerheads replaced within a week of booking via the website.
They replace incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent lights.
no limit on how many they will replace (19 at my house!)

I got mine done when I moved to Green Electricity.. the bloke knew his stuff.. Put a nice, bright white globe into the bathroom and warm (incandescent yellow) style in bedrooms..
They refused to put a globe into my sensor lights and my remote controlled fan light.. saying they were "incompatible".. I've had CFL's in my sensor light for 5 years with no trouble (took them out for the visit hoping for a a few spares)..
how does it work? do they come to your house and replace the globes?
yep two people came to my house, one qualified installer (uni degree on replacing light globes? probably tafe)
the other was the admin person me thinks.
they replace all the incandescent globes, and can do your showerheads too

There were reports on 3AW this morning from some callers who accepted this offer, and their house got robbed soon afterwards…
One guy turned up, without a ladder and latter said he ran out of globes…
They're probably not doing too much checking as to who they are subcontracting these services out to…

they were very professional.
they put cool white in the bathroom/living areas
they put warm lights into the bedrooms
they were all 14w
Although their website said you could choose the wattages/warmcool
I wasn't there on time to choose, but they did a good job anyhow.
we don't really have that much to steal, maybe our $300 coles t.v. (thanks ozbargain), maybe the acer aspire one (thanks again ozbargain ;)
I've worked for a company that do this kind of job here in Melbourne for a while and the job is pretty good. Quitted because I don't have people skills for door.
arghh … what about NSW? anyone knows similar stuff for NSW?
I've applied on two occasions for free lightbulbs and never received them. looks lie they have a few of them then scam the rest for info. No from me this time.
there are different company's the other companies i applied for never replied.
this one had an online scheduler, and they were great with communication.

I Just got the same deal through Truenergy. A guy came out last week and changed my light bulbs and a shower head - and I'm not even a customer of Truenergy and they said that it doesn't mater. Here's the link i made the booking on http://www.truenergy.com.au/veethome/
Careful of these types of "freebies" with regards to energy
Many of them make you change your energy retailer (not supplier/provider as they conveniently quote) and this means you will more often than not pay more for your electricity or gas
Recently the government removed the regulated rate on energy so it pays to check which provider gives you the best deal overall including rebates and/or other value-added schemes like these
Make sure you read the terms and condition when you apply for these freebies. Sometimes they use this as a trade to the CO2 emission they do from the power plan. May end up harming the environment more.
Hope they supply globes with a warm white colour temp, short warm-up time and sufficient wattage, otherwise they're likely to turn people off CFLs.
