[Origin] Battlefield Hardline Beta (Free)

650

Go to provided link, register wait for a confirmation letter.

Some hints
If you're on PC and trying to get it to show up in your library, do this:
Sign into Battlelog (try to log off and then log in before, that could help too)
Go here:http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bfh/servers/quickmatch/pc/ [battlelog.battlefield.com]
Attempt to join a match

Once the "You need to install or patch the game before playing" message pops up, click continue once and don't touch anything. Origin should open, load momentarily, and add the game to your account. This may take several tries.

Thanks. Getting a HTTP 500 error after signing in, but will definitely keep trying to grab this.

    • I got this as well - refreshed the original sign up beta page (with date of birth etc) and pressed continue and it worked.

      • Signed up and just got the "wait for the code in your email". That's OK, I've not really played BF4 to death yet.

  • Thanks for the heads up, mightve missed the signup otherwise, thanks.

    will it be a 64 multi>?

  • It wasnt working for me on FF, but i tried on chrome and it worked first go

  • THANK YOU FOR SIGNING UP!
We hope to see you on the streets of Battlefield Hardline soon. We will be sending you an email to let you know if you get in.

  • Anybody know how to get into the PS4 version without the code? Or is that not possible now? A dev said it was possible from the "nav bar"

    edit:

"Instant access is not closed. Register for the wait list."

    Bummed.

    • I believe it may only apply if you currently have BF4 on PS4… it's then a selectable option from the nav bar (underneath BF4 icon I think).

I've tried on PC and PS4, I think they're finished handing out codes. If anyone has a spare one… ? :-)

      • It says closed on the nav bar (instant access) on my USA account. Now we wait to see when code come.

        If I don't get one, I'd happily pay $10 for a PS4 code.

Happy to forgo additional weapon skins to see a reduction in bugs and improved stability. Visceral games please oh please make this good, I love the theme and Dice has set the bar so low with BF4.

    • I wish we could stop using the Origin client, its a mess.

I wish we could just buy the game for $200 instead of DLC packs etc etc. Finish the game and release it.

I wish we could run our own servers.

I wish the server browser was not a web interface.

I wish BF4 didn't crash the graphics card drivers, DX11 or Mantle.

I could go on for days, Played battlefield franchise since the start and at this point don't even care for the beta because I know how bad BF4 is and how few shits EA give.

  • thanks OP

  • Thanks OP, would have missed this if I didn't see this post.

  • So BF3 was US invasion of Iraq and Iran

BF4 is US invasion of China including Paracel and Spratly Islands
    http://www.ibtimes.com/chinese-preparing-land-base-disputed-…

This (BF5) is US invasion against its own people on home turf.
    http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/09/us/war-gear-flows-to-polic…

Anyone else think they are conditioning the people?

So far Battlefield Hardline's premise is about a Training Day-esque cop drama where the line between police & criminal is blurred and the game play will revolve around over-the-top heists not unlike Payday 2.

So no, the theme of Invasion of the US mainland does not appear to be anywhere in the game.

But if you want a good case of life imitating "art", the spuriously titled Homefront: "Future History" trailer from 2010 is a little too eerily prophetic (not in the sense that all of those things have happened or will happen; but the possibility is a little too close to home).

Also, in the original Ghost Recon game (released in 2001), a conflict broke out between Russia and Georgia over the disputed South Ossetia region in 2008. Which actually happened… in 2008.

      • In Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, the Canadian PM is assassinated at a joint Canadian-US-Mexican summit in Mexico City where the three agree to sign a joint security agreement; sort of like the one that actually took place in 2006, less than a month after the game was released, where the three heads of state talked about border security.

      • "Russian-Georgia conflict predicted by Ghost Recon"

Tom Clancy also did SSN (Book and submarine sim game) "Tom Clancy - SSN
        AMERICA IS AT WAR
China has invaded the oil-rich Spratly Islands. The American response has been swift - and deadly. And the Third World War has begun.."

Well according to NYTIMES, police in US are being equipped with military weapons. I think there is a pattern.

I don't think this is the next installment of the main series - as in, it's not Battlefield 5. Depending on how you look at it, it's either (a) a fun mix up to the usual heavy war / combat themes in the others or (b) a Payday ripoff with the BF name slapped on it. I expect there'll still be a BF5 (or equivalent) next year, just as there was two years between 3 and 4.

I think you're right; and in that case… I could definitely see DICE and EA turning their sights for the story onto the US mainland, firstly because the whole "Dystopian-America-Zombie-Apocalypse-Ruined-Civilisation-Tyrannical-Government-Red-Dawn-Ripoff" angle is being pushed very heavily by a number of Triple-A developers and secondly because they've pretty much exhausted all of the world's biggest political hotspots. How many times can you kill Middle Easterners and Russians in war-torn sh*tholes?

  • I keep getting the message after logging in:
    CLOSED BETA SIGNUP :(

  • Thank You for Signing Up!

We hope to see you on the streets of Battlefield Hardline soon. We will be sending you an email to let you know if you get in.

    probably won't get in though

  • If anyone gets a spare PC key, I'd be happy to take it off your hands!

  • I tried signing up straight after watching the ea press conference live, but found it impossible to progress past the sign-in screen (time out error 500) so gave up.

Not that fussed, while it did look great I have so many other games to play I'll let others be their guinea pigs.

  • Thanx op :)

  • thanks! Hope to see an email one day :P

  • It sounds like they've given out all the beta keys already (maybe not, just how it sounds from the forums) so if you didn't get one yet you're probably not going to get one. I think the selections were either random or America only though as I signed up the moment the beta signups opened and I didn't get in.

    • My friend got in 3hrs after signing up so Australians have definitely been let in.

  • +2

All the Australians servers seem to be empty except one which has 8 players.

I signed up yesterday and got accepted today.

  • Just got my email this morning and I signed up when the deal was around +30.
The file is 6.5gb off origin. I'll be shooting you guys up on the weekend :)

  • will pay pal transfer $5 for a key. add zombie-lucas on origin

  • If you go to the EA live chat and tell them you signed up for the beta they will add the beta to your account. Check these links for more info
    http://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefield/comments/27whed/how_to_g…
    http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2266521&p…

  • They're pretty much giving them out on the EA live chat, despite the long wait and what they say on the chat page
Put general request in and tell them you think it wasn't fair that you didnt get in blah blah and they add it for you

  • My email arrived this afternoon (I signed up 3 days ago) - just in time for the weekend!

    Downloading in Origin now.
