As a father without mammaries to call my own, I used to feel like I can't fully contribute to my child's upbringing. Now I can, and so can you! Ladies! Sore nipples? Want a break? Don't pay $35-65 new or even $30 second hand. You can even use it to heat toddler food, which you may or may not choose to feed to an actual toddler, or to keep your coffee warm in your office. As long as you don't mind drinking it from a baby bottle, of course. And what red blooded Aussie male doesn't?

Yuck. I'm quite sure leaving milk out will only encourage bacteria to form in it from what I've heard.
We've got a one litre thermos that we use to keep milk hot or warm on days out. Room temp milk is unsatisfactory in summer and pointless in winter.
We have one of these that we bought from one of those baby shops and they are great, especially for late night feeds.
Ridge_didge might be talking about formula in which case it's great to just mix the powder into room temp water and offer it to bub. You're certainly not going to get any bacteria infestations if that's the case. Breast milk would be a different story though…
Sorry sorry sorry, should have said was talking about formula. (Make up all your bottles with boiled water then let them sit on the bench then just add formula when needed and feed. Boiled water into sterile bottles is safe from bacteria for at least 24 hours)
You are totally correct breast milk can only be safely kept at room temp for about 4-6 hours -so with a newborn you can express for the next feed and leeve it out but if it is for longer than that put it in the fridge (I found the takeaway container method freakcat mentioned worked better than this bottle warmer).
What's sore nipples got to do with a coffee warmer?

I bought an Avent bottle warmer for my first kid and used it a few time before I sold it. They took a while to warm up so I ended up using a take away container filled with hot water to warm the bottle. It worked faster. The most convenient way is to put it in microwave for 20sec to warm up the water before mixing it with the formula, then you will have a warm bottle of formula but not hot.
Breast milk is readily available, premixed, warmed to the perfect temperature and no need to sterilise, wash or rinse bottles!!
Teach you baby to drink room temp milk it will make your life so much easier (no need to ask cafe to warm bottles, feed baby at the park whatever).
We got one of these in a kit with bottles and I could never get the bottles the correct temp mean while the baby is crying as they are hungry. ..really dont bother it is surprising how quickly they get used to cold milk.
