Just don't plan on using it online if Myer ever gets around to accepting their own payment method online.
My Myer Manager said Boxing Day is a pretty standard sale and nothing overly special.
Agreed. I got a whole load of men's clothing at 40% off a few weeks ago. As good if not better deals than they had on boxing day. Never buy anything at Myer for less than 25% off. You'll probably only ever have to wait a few weeks for the item you want to be on sale.
If you are buying just sake of using giftcard, then you can sell it on gumtree with 10% discount…Make most out of your giftcards..
Boxing Day sales are a crock…They have the same sales year round e.g. 'Super Saturday' which seems to be every two weeks, mid-year stocktake and so on. Just wait until the mid-year clearance which will be in the next few weeks.
If you sign up for a Myer One card (no cost) then you often get a heads up (email notice) on sales etc. You often find you can go in the stores one day ahead (often evening before) of a major sale so you have first choice of items … before they are sold out too. I like the Boxing Day sales, especially if you like the christmas decorations 50% off.
Ps. Just last week I received an email which had a coupon attached … 50% off certain name brand bags and shoes. Got 50% off a really nice bag; not complaining.
I avoid boxing day sales, nothing go on real sale until feb/march when the summer is over… Just chill with the gift card and make sure you know what you want in advance and whats its been selling for BUT
BUT… exceptions, they do have sales, on electrical the most often that undercut other stores, sign up for the emails and keep watch as they are sprung with little notice… like a coffee maker recently that was very well priced…
