My 1st thread. Went looking for the Dymo 160 from this weeks deal, none left but found this instead, thought it was the next best thing. Compared it to the Dymo Letratag available(@ $25). Replacement labels are around the same cost for both. The PT-80 takes both 9 & 12mm labels, has single line screen only, uses 4x AAA. Letratag takes 12mm labels, has a bigger screen tho(3 lines) & some additional features, uses 4x AA. For the price i thought the PT-80 was decent.
"The PT-80 will easily print labels in 6 types, 9 type styles and 1 font for all your different labeling needs - all you have to do is type in your text and print! At the touch of a button, you can also add the time and date to your label, with a choice of 8 different formats"
Picked up one of these a couple of years back when they were on special for $15 or something and it's great little unit. I think it has nicer text quality than the equivalent Dymos. The tapes can be had reasonably cheap as well. Doesn't chew through batteries either.
