I'll give them ago. Not expecting much from suction cups though. They just don't work in bathrooms with steam and soap and people overloading or bumping them. What's your experience with them?

Everloc's pretty good. Suction's quite strong and if I'm not wrong it has a gel like thingy on the edge of the cups to help it stay.

I'd say give it a go. If you'd ever use any suction cup products everloc's the way to go.

I have the toilet roll holder, toothbrush holder, 2 soap holders and a few hooks in my bathroom. The only one that fell off was the toothbrush holder but I suspect I overloaded it by putting a glass in it. I'm really happy with them all. I did wash the surface really well with metho and make sure it was perfectly dry before I affixed them to the tiles.

If you want something a little cheaper Kmart also has a competitor range to this which is less than $10.

For instance the everloc double shelf corner basket is $41.30 (on special)from Target. Kmart version is $9 and it holds 3kgs. I have been using for months now with no problems, suction seems fine. Link as below.

    Everloc looks far nicer however

I bought an Everloc corner basket a couple years ago. This basket is to go in the shower to hold shampoo etc. After a couple months it started to rust! Very strange for something which is made to be in a shower cubicle.

I emailed the company my complaint and they said it must have been a faulty batch so take it back to Bunnings and get a replacement. Did that…no worries. So far so good. However the exact same thing happened with the new one and was showing signs of rust after 2 or 3 months.

I emailed them back and they said it must be rusting because when I cleaned the shower I could have sprayed it with the cleaning product which affected the coating on the basket.

The apologised and sent me a third basket. Guess what? Yep rusted again after a few months. I gave up and now all my shit sits on the floor in the shower.

No complaints about the customer service but hopefully they have improved their product. No issues with it sticking to the tiles, just the rusting.

I had one from aldi that rusted very quickly. they sent me replacement and they lasted a few months before rusting. I stick to plastic ones lately because I don't want rust marks on the tiles. I rent otherwise I would get permanent screw in ones

These things are chrome plated steel, and all will eventually rust as the plating thins with use. If you truly want non rust then get stainless steel for the bathroom, but it will be a lot more expensive.

      • expensive is fine - if the suction cups last

  • I intend to put these things in the shower outside of where they usually go, so they are out of elbow range and direct water. Most fittings I've seen are located where they are because 'that's where they go'. In my mind it makes more sense to have them a little over shoulder height.

  • So far so good - 2 days up and a strong connection. So much better having them in a spot where they don't get wet, and figure this will also help the lasting suction..

    • I did this too. Still fell off. I think someone leans on it

  • I bought 2 shower baskets, towel rail and toilet roll holder a couple of months back.

The first shower basket (a small one) fell off within minutes and cracked one of the tiles - wasn't game to try the bigger one.

Towel rail (only one towel on it) fell off after 2 days.

Didn't bother with the toilet roll holder, sent all back.
