Used two dash camera before. Not 100% happy.
One is crappy from dinxdirect - can't see a thing in night vision. video quality is poor.
Another one is Uniden - the SD cards keep getting 'toasted' under the sun. 2 cards were changed within 6 months.
My family has no insurance claimed for years, then two minor accidents on the same vehicle within one week -
Incident 1 - brushed side by side involving with another vehicle. Multiple unmarked lanes through an intersection.
Incident 2 - car was parallel parked to kerb for few hours. Someone did a 3 point turn and reversed back to the side door (can see a reverse sensor mark on the huge dent). Did not leave a note.
Unfortunately, no dashcam in the car at the time, the SD card was 'toasted' just the week before. Inserted a new 16G in the Uniden but did not accept the format. ?only take up to a 4G mini SD card for the camera.
Wonder if any dash camera in the market that may assist in both situation.
1. Video the side as well as the front.
2. Video when the vehicle is stationary.
