I've always received what I bid/purchased on with them but you do have to be aware of all costing on auctions. The information is all there to work it out. All of their auctions usually have a buyers preminum as an addition as well as delivery. Purchases from the "buy it now" setup don't. Such as this one, which only states $9.95 delivery.
Depends on what you buy, buying local pick up items from Graysonline you can save heaps. For example, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and ever brand name mattresses. I spent $500+ for a King coil mattress in Harvey Norman and spent $280 for a A.H.Beard mattress retail for $1800 in an auction. The one from auction was much better and firmer. But I agree that some of their buy-it-now deal is not cheap and the handling cost can be expansive.
Have to say that the Graysonline they sell thing quite trick people. Last time i won in a bidding with the duck feather queen blanket, the price i won is $50 but the shipping is another $50 and $12 for the premium. When the blanket came to my door, i opened it up nothing special than their advertised(as they advertised is Royal Palace collection), just a normal cheap case and a piece of cardboard doesn't tell any brand name on that. Was so disappointed with Grays :-<
