My first post. Hope I have not got it wrong.

Have been looking around for LED lighting for the fish tank.
This is the best I could find and appears to be a good deal, especially for this size.
Other sizes are available but this has the best value for money.
The cheapest I found locally was 75AUD for an unknown brand.
I checked with the manufacturer who confirmed the Single Brights come with a transformer rated 100-240v.

Below is the description from the manufacturer's website.
The Marineland Single Bright LED Light provides a high quality, natural-looking light that shimmers and creates shadows throughout the water, adding depth and dimension to the aquarium. Use the white LEDs during the day and the blue LEDs at night to enjoy the aquarium at all hours of the day. The LED Light has a unique, sleek, contemporary design that makes other aquarium lights obsolete.

  • That is a good price for a 1.5 to 2 footer LED.

The Shimmer effect of LED in tanks is freaking amazing.

You'll simply never go back to T5's , T8's or MH again.

I assume you are going for a Planted Tropical tank given this is daylight colour temp?

Unfortunately this unit doesn't state if it is dual voltage.

    • This one is actually 3-4 ft.
It is for cichlids but no plants. Would that be too much light? Thought the double brights were more suited for plants.
I was also worried about the voltage and wrote to Marineland who have confirmed the transformer that comes with the single bright is rated 100-240v.

      • Too much light? No, but I thought the single bright were .5 or .6w and not 1w, that said good price if I needed a light just for fish I'd grab one.

        • +1

Received it and can confirm its 100-240v
